Lifelong Learning Programme Comenius Partnership  


The project started in 2009 and involved ten countries (Italy as coordinator, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, Lithuania and Poland), with the aims:

  • To analyze the initial European teachers training in secondary school, with the aim to outline a “training model” able to implement the postulates of the Lisbon strategy
  • To promote a real comparison, in a European level, of operating procedures in teaching profession training
  • To organize a proposition of common action in a sector recognized as central to the growth of superior education in an Europea area
  • To sustain the request of future teachers who wishes to be prepared in an international dimension
  • To favour a process that permits future teachers to work with European objectives in different and cultural national realities
  • To create a network of relations amongst the educational institutes involved, regarding the definition of formative segments

producing a KIT formed by:

  • Notebook (analysis of the “competences target” of the future teachers; assess of the feasibility of mobility hypoteses for the future teachers)
  • Guide for the tutors of training
  • Handbook of the good practices of training
  • Framework/operating profile of the training tutor/mentor

Procedures of monitoring, verification,evaluation of the level of attainment of the single project objects have been realized by organizing projects encounters, creating operative tools for a succesful development of the project and increasing e-mail communication among the partners in order to create a constant flow of information about the single project.

This project focuses on experimentation of initial teachers pattern, shared at European level and so expects both an insertion of the European dimension of the instruction into the single curricula and a useful comparison among the different European educational systems, integrating them with an improving the mastery of foreign languages and of knowledge of skills and methodologies in various European contests.

The broadcasting of project products has been carried out during its”planning” stage (therefore, in the course of monitoring operations) by the partecipating institutions organizing encounters on particular issues and sharing teaching materials among the partner schools, also established the creation of a on line platform in order to put in and share all the project products and results among the partecipating countries.
